Point of Beginning---

Our business began here in Hobart, and our roots continue to run deep within our community.  Krull Surveying is a family owned and operated business; founded in 1914 by William J. Krull, now four generations strong.  Although our firm is not the largest, we are definitely among one of the oldest more reputable firms in the area.  It is our attitutude which exudes good will along with the desire to produce superior work with exceptional personal customer service that has allowed us to prevail for nearly a century. 

                                  , (1891-1974) graduate of Valparaiso University; Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor in Indiana; Land Surveyor in Illinois.  William was city engineer for the Town of Porter, the Town (now City) of Hobart and the Town (now City) of Crown Point, just to name a few.  One of WIlliam's early accomplishments was designing  the Hobart dam.

                                , (1919-2009) graduate of Purdue University; Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor in Indiana.  Robert took over ownership of firm in 1946 .  He served as city engineer for the Town of Chesterton, the City of Lake Station and the Town of Schererville over the years; was a Charter Member of ISPLS and Life Member of ASCE.  Mr. Krull actively worked with the company until shortly before his death in 2009.

Stephen R. Krull , Owner and President of Krull Surveying, Inc. Steve is the Director of Field Operations, and his career experience spans over 45 years in the land surveying profession with Krull Surveying. Steve has real-world experience which allows for him to make sound decisions in the field.  He is motivated and has a strong work ethic.  Steve holds an associate membership with the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors. Steve graduated from the U.S. Army Armor School located in Fort Knox, Kentucky with honors.  Steve then served with the U.S. Army from October 1968 to May 1970, Sargent E-5, H Troop 17th Cavalry, 198 Infantry, Americal Division (Republic of Viet Nam).   As a symbol of his combat injury and sacrifice of safety Steve was awarded the Purple Heart, for his acts of heroism and merit he was awarded the Bronze Star, and received the Combat Infantryman Badge for active ground combat.  Steve is an avid car aficionado as well, and has fabricated a '32 Ford Coupe and a '32 Ford Roadster in his spare time.

Kevin A. Krull , Vice-President, will carry on the Krull name, a graduate of Purdue University (1997), and a Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Indiana (2001).  He is the Director of Surveying for Krull Surveying with more than 23 years of experience with the firm.  Kevin continues to improve on his ability to analyze problems, both analytically and logically to produce solutions with the utmost accuracy.  He holds a Professional Membership with the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS).  Kevin is also a devoted golfer.

Both Steve and Kevin complement one another and have compiled a competent trustworthy team. 

Stacy (Krull) Spejewski, Secretary/Treasurer, Office Administrator, has been with the firm 23 years.

Krull Surveying, Inc. is now under the direction of Robert's son, Stephen R. Krull, grandson, Kevin A. Krull, and granddaughter,   Stacy (Krull) Spejewski.
